Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of DocWise.ai (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].

The Service

DocWise translates documents with AI models and returns translated files (same-format files, readable PDFs, layout-faithful PDFs, bilingual versions) together with a machine quality score per page or passage. Machine translation can be wrong. Review important translations before relying on them, especially legal, medical, financial or safety-critical content. Pages and passages the system is unsure about are flagged, but a missing flag is not a guarantee of correctness.

Accounts

You need an account with a verified email address. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. One person per account; no automated sign-ups.

Credits and payment

• Translation is paid with credits. One credit covers one page at the Fast tier; Balanced costs 2 credits per page and Best 5. A "page" is one PDF page, or 2,000 characters of source text for other formats.
• Before a job starts you see the price in credits. We hold that amount, then charge only for pages actually delivered and return the rest automatically. Failed or canceled jobs are refunded in full.
• Free accounts receive 30 credits after email verification, valid for 30 days. Page packs are valid for 365 days. Pro subscription credits are granted each billing period and expire at the end of that period.
• Prices are shown on the pricing page and charged by Stripe in US dollars, plus any taxes that apply. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Refunds follow our Refund Policy.

Your content

You keep all rights to the documents you upload and to the translations. You give us only the permission needed to process, store and deliver them for you during the retention period (Data retention). We do not use your content to train models. You confirm you have the right to upload and translate each document.

Acceptable use

Do not upload content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, contains malware, or that you are not allowed to share. Do not try to access other users' data, overload or probe the Service, bypass limits or payment, or resell the Service without our written permission. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. We may change features or prices; price changes never affect credits you already bought and apply to subscriptions from the next renewal, with notice.

Liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made on the basis of a machine translation. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer-protection law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the settings page; your documents and translations are deleted with it. Unused paid credits are not refundable after account deletion except as stated in the Refund Policy.

Changes to these terms

We will post changes here and update the date above. Material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
